Mobile Money Transaction Limits Revised

The National Bank of Rwanda and Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority have revised mobile money transaction limits effective August 1, 2026.

• Daily transaction limit: RWF 5,000,000 (up from RWF 2,000,000)
• Per transaction limit: RWF 1,000,000 (up from RWF 500,000)
• Monthly limit: RWF 30,000,000 (up from RWF 10,000,000)

These changes aim to facilitate digital payments and reduce cash dependency.
