The Ministry of ICT and Innovation has completed the training of 10,000 young Rwandans in software development under the "Coding for Employment" program. The initiative, in partnership with Microsoft Philanthropies and the African Development Bank, aims to bridge the digital skills gap and prepare youth for the global tech workforce.
Graduates received certifications in Python, JavaScript, mobile app development, and cloud computing. Over 60% of participants have secured employment or freelance work within six months of completing the program.
