Ministeri y'Ubuzima yatangaje ko mu Karere ka Nyagatare nta ndwara ya Malaria kivuye kubera imbaraga zakoreshejwe mu myaka itatu ikurikirana. Izi ngamba zirimo gutanga imburagitanda 500,000, gutera imiti mu ngo, no gutoza abakozi b'ubuzima.

The Ministry of Health has announced that Nyagatare District has achieved zero malaria transmission after three consecutive years of intensive intervention. The district, once one of the most malaria-endemic regions in the country, deployed a comprehensive strategy including:

• Distribution of 500,000 insecticide-treated bed nets
• Indoor residual spraying covering 98% of households
• Community health worker training program
• Rapid diagnostic test kits in all health centers

The success serves as a model for other districts still battling the disease.
