Kigali igiye kuba icyicaro cya tekinoloji cya mbere mu Burasirazuba bwa Afurika bitewe n'umushinga wa Kigali Innovation City (KIC). Iyi miliyari 20 Frw ishyigwa na Rwanda Development Board n'Ikigega cy'Afurika gishinzwe iterambere, izakira ibigo bya tekinoloji birenga 50 hamwe n'ibigo bitandukanye.

Kigali is set to become East Africa's premier technology hub with the launch of the Kigali Innovation City (KIC) project. The Rwf 20 billion initiative, backed by the Rwanda Development Board and African Development Bank, will house over 50 tech companies and startups.

What the Project Includes

• A dedicated fintech accelerator with $5 million seed fund
• Co-working spaces for 2,000 entrepreneurs
• Data center with 99.9% uptime guarantee
• Partnerships with Carnegie Mellon University Africa

Construction is expected to complete by Q4 2027, with Phase 1 opening in June 2026.
